Hi,

Im new to this website... I'm 25 yrs. old, me and my boyfriend has been trying to have a baby for the last past year. I have a irregular period with big blood clots. I have been taking birth control pills for all my middle school yrs. when I started High School I stopped for many reasons. Now that Im an adult, I want to have children and I'm afraid to go to the doctors because I fear they are going to tell me I can't have kids. One doctor has told me one of the reasons why I have an irregular period because my hormones are probably going crazy... is that possible what should i do?

Irregular periods can be from several reasons

1. Whacky hormones!
2. Cystic Ovaries - 1 cyst or more on your ovary
3. Endometeroisis

Just because you have irregular periods doesn't mean you can't get pregnant, it just means its a bit harder to know when you are ovulating! So go to the docotrs and just have them take a pelvic ultrasound and just to see if you do have a cystic ovary! If you do they can give you medication such as metmorfin or clonid to boost your fertility! IF you don't just have sex as much as possible! So you don't miss a day when you could be ovulating - your boyfriend can send me flowers later!!! ;-) XD Never be so worried that you don't get medical advice and help OK? Because 99.9% of the time you have worse ideas in your head than need be! So good luck and health to you! Also take prenantal vitamins as these have been shown to increase your fertility substantially!
