Hi, I'm a 16 year old female, and lately I've noted I've been seeing things I know I shouldn't be... I have no medical problems that require medication, and i do not take any forum of drugs nor alcohol, but i do unfortunately not sleep go to sleep at a late time at night, or not at all, but i usually catch up on that sleep sooner or later.

The things i see are of hurting people.. or doing similar things i know i shouldn't, a few weeks ago in class our teacher was showing us a pair of cutting scissors, i was seated beside her and suddenly i seen myself grab the scissors from her, and stab her in the eye with them.. and not so long ago i held a door open for someone, and as they were walking through i seen myself slam the door against them hard.. theses kind of images are starting to worry me highly, as i am not a violent person, and i don't want to hurt anyone, physically or mentally, so i don't understand why I'm seeing theses kind of images, can you please give me a idea what is wrong with me?

I'm to scared to tell anyone in real in case they think i could be a danger to myself or others and put me in a mental hospital.

It could be a poltergeist. But thats means its just in your head, its not any kind of "paranormal". Trust me on that. Try to find something to distract yourself from it, like listening to an ipod/mp3. Try to distract your mind with something else. If this isn't working, see a doctor, they might need to give you pills for poltergeist. I wish I could tell you more, but I can't on a public site, I'm sorry, but good luck.!!!:-)

For now, the most important thing is that you are able to keep yourself from doing what you see yourself doing. As long as you are well able to do that, you are OK. These kind of thoughts are sometimes called your alter ego, the version of you who would do the kind of things that you would never do. I don't have the credentials to give you an expert opinion on how to make these disturbing thoughts go away. So, here's my "man who is old enough to have many real life experiences" advice; If you can figure out when these thought are most likely to come to you, think preemptively of what you could do to make this not-unpleasant experience even more enjoyable for everyone present. It could be the start of you building a reputation as someone that everyone wants to be around. I've known some people who are like that, and I can honestly say that "it's been a privilege to deal with them during my life!" Hope this helps.
