Same pain here, definitely laptop related as I tried a heating pad on my lap and there was was no pain. I'm inclined to believe its this EMF frequency related ...kinda scary. I had no idea this was an outcome of using a laptop.

Wow, I had something VERY similar happen! I was working from home and was using a laptop for many hours a day. After reaching out to Dell multiple times in which I told them the laptop was causing me pain (to no avail of course) I was noticing that the weird achiness and weakness in my hands was getting worse and within a week or so, I developed dry blisters that covered the palms of my hands. A few days off of work and it would get better. Back to work and it returned!

I also had a serious issue with abdominal pain that was made worse by being near my laptop. A few months after establishing the connection and having severely worsening pain, I learned that I had an ovarian cyst that required surgery. I continued to work from home and even switched to a different computer during my period of healing and within 6 months a new cyst developed on the same ovary which required a second surgery and removal of my right ovary and Fallopian tube.

Everyone keeps telling me that I'm imagining things but I know there is a connection between the laptop, the pain, and the multiple surgeries. I lost almost 6 months of work and still can't bear to be around laptops! For some reason, I don't seem to have serious issues with my phone or tablet.

I have made some major changes that while inconvenient, have been monumentally helpful and I have not had another cyst develop since doing this. I bought a used monitor, a wireless mouse, and a USB keyboard. I hook these things up to my laptop at my desk and put the laptop as far away from my body as possible, preferably with the non-screen side facing the wall. Though far from portable, this set up actually lets me use my computer and I believe that many other people can avoid the pain by trying this out. Craigslist has plenty of inexpensive computer parts for sale and is a great resource if you need a monitor!

If anyone knows of a lawyer, researcher, physician, etc. that is interested in discussing their experience or is interested in exploring how computers and health issues might be connected, please reach me out.

Thanks!
-B

I also get a burning achy feel on my face and around my ear that sometimes lasts up to half an hour after I finish a phone call. Lap also feels like it is burning even when the laptop is cool to the touch. It helps if I unplug the laptop, but it doesn't alleviate it completely. I use books and other items to shield me and they help for a while, but soon the burning feel penetrates whatever I use. Doctors think they know-it-all...They always say it is "in your head" if they don't understand it...because it couldn't be possible that they don't know EVERYTHING!

I'm a 61 year old professional who uses a Macbook Pro and iPhone daily. Even before my Macbook and smartphone upgrades, I was noticing that my old HP laptop was causing my hands discomfort if I used the keyboard much - I'm talking about numbness and tingling sensations that truly felt like being irradiated by something. I would have to pull away frequently. Now, I have a small laptop (13" Macbook) so I can keep it on my lap and handy, and I am noticing incredible discomfort when it is near to my body. Both my hands and lap can really feel the radiation and need separation from the laptop frequently. I can also notice the same feeling from my iPhone when I lay it on my lap or hold it for long in my hand - so it is surely effecting my head when I hold it up to talk also - I just don't do that very much or use a headset. I will be changing the way I use my laptop and phone. Use wired headset for calls, and keep the phone out of your pocket when possible. Keep the laptop on a desk or separate surface from your body, and use a remote keyboard and mouse to protect yourself when you need to really work.

I have the same experience. I noticed it 2 yours ago with my older laptop. Now it happened again with my new one that feels cold on resting wrists. I thought its heat was he cause. It must be radiation! It is very disturbing that I find so few experiences like this on web. If we can feel the damage done to our body how about damage that goes unnoticed for years of exposure?!!!

Wow! Wow! Wow!, I dared to tell anyone about this. But I have noticed this about a year ago. When using my laptop on my lap it causes pain and numbness in my legs, mainly my thighs. I also noticed what seemed to be a blood clot, which really had me concerned. I used to do my homework late at night and have my laptop on the bed with me, which I noticed would make me very sluggish, drowsy, and I would fall asleep unknowingly. Tonight, I decided to just google it because I'd stop using it on my lap for some time ( when I saw that blood clot purple looking bruise) and didn't feel the pain. I even keep my distance when it come to using it, it's like a 7th sense or something. Something tells me to back up from it, or just close it down and I do.

I am soooo glad for everyone who has posted on this topic. I, myself thought it was all in my head, so of course I dared not tell anyone about it. Thank you everyone! Wow, wow, wow! I agree with the cell phones too. I try using the speaker in my car, or a wired headset. A lot of people can't remember what they said a second ago, or their train of thought slips their mind in the process of saying it.

Technology is great, but it is seriously affecting the health of people.

It's good to know it's not just in my head, although I was hoping to find some answers towards the end of the 13 pages of testimonies :/.

My symptoms:
-A burning feeling in my inner right thigh (which went away after a week of not putting the laptop within two feet of my body again)
-A feeling of discomfort in my my inner right thigh and right groin area that feels almost like I pulled a muscle in my groin, but didn't.
-An achiness slightly above my right groin area.
-My right testicle is a little tender and was slightly bigger than usual for a few weeks.
-Pain in my stomach followed by chronic constipation.

I hope someone posts some useful diagnosis and general insight into the issue. My laptop is not hot! It's definitely some sort of radiation.

The same thing is happening to my left breast but I can find no lump but it is growing rapidly and us much bigger than my right breast now. I'm going to buy a desk top and use the lap top only to stream movies or watch shows on it, If this is happening to people they need to stop making Laptops!

I'm experiencing the same dull pain in my abdomen, just below my ribs, which starts very soon after I use the laptop. For a couple of months I have felt this, but not really relating it to my laptop, till this morning...and googled. I thought maybe it is a pinched nerve in my spine or a strained muscle from gym or bad posture whilst reading on my laptop on my abdomen. My lower back also hurts when I stand for an hour or two, accompanied by the dull pain in my abdomen. I have just read that the heat causes skin cells to die off if placed on you upper leg, so what effect does it have on your organs, colon, ovaries, etc....scary :(... reading the thread I can see, it is definitely not my imagination so for starters I am no longer putting the laptop on my stomach.

I lost my job in july and have been looking for work and have had my laptop on my lap for 2 months and have been experiencing shaky and weakness in legs. When I realized it wasnt the stress from losing my job and it could be the laptop i started putting it beside me. Now i wonder if the radiation is affecting me. I am hoping the feeling goes away and that i havent exposed myself to any danger.

I feel the same thing when I put my laptop on my stomach, I start feeling a strong pain and I have some kind of air moving to my mouth, it is painful!!!
It might cause some diseases or cancers OMG I am so scared.
There should be a study about it, I think that it is because of all the electronic components inside the laptop.

What ever happened? I'm in the same boat and just checked to see if anyone gets abdominal pains when using laptop. I found that with my laptop, phone, and IPAD, wherever they are there is pain but now my 'laptop abdominal pains' are not going away. I don't like doctors and refuse to be sick but I've worried that the radiation may cause cancer.
