I too have a mac laptop and have thigh muscle aches that I never experienced before. I usually have a pillow on my legs. The pain has grown worse in my thighs and I walk with a cane now. Never thought it could have been my laptop that might be causing all of this to happen.

I'm using a laptop tray which reduces EMF and also heat exposure:
Maybe it can help you?

This is extremely concerning. I too am getting the burning pain in the middle of my left thigh when i have my laptop in my lap - usually when im sitting on the couch. I wonder why it is the LEFT thigh that burns? It is NOT to do with heat - so it must be some sort of radiation and it must be strongest on the left hand side? Whatever it is, it doesnt sound or feel good. I think I need longer arms!!!

Yes, mine is lower, too, and it also feels mildly crampy and uncomfortable like period pain. I no longer put it on my lap, but even when I have it a foot away from me (resting the laptop on a pillow in front of me) I feel the same crampiness within minutes. It has been happening for years but I guess I finally got so freaked out about it, that I looked it up. Glad I did, though we still don't have answers

OMG im not the only one, i know this is going to sound crazy and a bit biased but this started when i got the new macbook pro....i had other laptops before , its my first time using a mac, and ive read a lot of comments from everyone here and its getting me so worried because just like so many people here im having the burning pain in my left lap, now i get it any time i use any laptop on my laps, and honestly it started with the macbook, and im not the only one here who is mentioning the fact thats its their left lap and they are using a mac.
even if i but a pillow or book under my laptop i still get the pain and the pain is more when i use my mac than when i use my other laptop.

Honestly this has me so scared now because im not the only one having the burning feeling and seeing that no one has found a cause is a lot more scary now. Please i may not know anyone who could look into this but i please if you have the resources to get information about this problem, please help; its frightening.

I have been experiencing weakness on the top of my thighs and often times when the computer is on my lap I feel my legs burning. It's from the EMF's radiating into my body. I don't allow my kids to use a laptop on their legs/lap and I try not to put in near by body. Mark my words, they will come out with a study that will prove we are all slowly cooking our legs.

I'm a digital nomad, have been for 6 years now. I use iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro on a daily basis. About a year ago I started getting pain in my groin so I went to the doctor, had a scan and everything was clear, no cancer thank God! The pain is like a tingling discomfort in my legs, groin and it even goes around to my lower back. Like everyone else I'm a bit worried about it.
The only answers I have are to ensure your devices are unplugged with bluetooth off and kept away from you for as long as possible. I used to have the phone charging on my bedside table. Reckon thats a big no-no.
I've also invested in a SafeSleeve for the laptop which arrives from the US next week. I'm praying it works! If it does i'll likely get one for the phone and iPad.

Interesting they say RF performance changes and hasn't been tested for devices in metal cases. All Apple devices are in metal cases! I'm wondering if a non-metal case would work. I know standard cases on the phone and iPad don't make a difference to my issue. Anyway, thought I'd post my experiences for no other reason than to let me people know I think this is an ever-increasing issue.

I've had this sensation with a Sony

WI-FI is the most likely culprit. Do you know what frequency microwave ovens use to heat food? 2.45 GHz. Sound familiar? Yeah...

For years when I used a laptop I felt an uncomfortable like cooking on the inside sensation in my lower gut region. Putting a pilllow in my lap and resting laptop on it usually fixed the sensation. Now I've been using an iPad for years instead. It seems with my newest iPad its worse than the older iPad and seemed to happen quicker. When it starts I usually just move the iPad to the table or put on a table. I'm a 48 year old woman. Last month I had a cancerous tumor the size of an orange and a foot of my colon removed. I'm generally healthy with this exception. Tonight I had my iPad in my lap outside & began to feel the weird inner burn awareness in certain areas and it hit me for the first time that maybe there is a correlation between these odd uncomfortable feelings and my colon cancer. I'm typing with a pillow now and am going to research these radiaton shields just in case. I've yet to have more than 30cm of colon looked at because they stopped at the blockage/tumor. I actually won't be surprised when I have the colonoscopy to look at rest of colon if they see something else, the specific burning is so strong. I'm done ignoring it and am taking precautions. Good luck to you all. Maybe if enough people share their experiences with this it will be taken seriously.

Medication won't help. Stopping or minimizing use and taking every safety measure - and walking outside barefoot - will.

Wow I usual feel the same when I'm working on my laptop. Feels like an electrical current penetrating my body, burning sensation kind of a feeling. Sometimes the pain gets so intense that I'm forced to close my laptop emediately. I was searching google to see if there are other people who are feeling this, when I came across your post. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Now I know that I'm not alone in this as my husband doesn't believe me when I tell him that my laptop is making me sick. Thank you
