I'm 16 and I get this all the time, but never knew what it was. The "fast feeling" usually happens when I'm on my laptop or phone. And when it does, everything seems rushed and urgent and little things start to give me anxiety. For example, if I turn on some music, the songs almost seem sped up and too fast to process so I'm forced to turn it off. It just feels like thousands of thoughts are going through my head at 100 mph and it's so weird. At first I thought they were like mini panic attacks but I really don't think they are. They started not too long ago.

However, when I was younger (and to this day), I get a "fast feeling" when Im trying to go to sleep. I close my eyes, yet everything feels sped up. It's kinda hard to explain, but in my mind, everything just keeps getting bigger and smaller. It really doesn't make sense, but I have no idea why this happens. If I turn the lights back on, it usually stops, but it's just really weird. Anybody else experience this?

Used to get this about 2-3 times a month when I was younger and throughout my teenage years alongside the feeling of everything seeming incredibly far away and extremely close at the same time. I smoked weed daily for the last 5 years (Unrelated to this) and stopped experiencing it completely, after a week of quitting I have now just had the exact same thing happen again and I completely forgot I ever used to get it until just now. No increased heartbeat, no sweats, no shaking hands, it's one of the strangest things I've ever felt. After about 10-20 minutes it used to subside and as I'm typing this I can feel it slowly starting to dissipate after about the same time period. I searched and found AIW (Alice in Wonderland) syndrome and tons of people with the same experience of this, I thought it was just a weird quirk of my brain that only I felt. Still, not a clue. Just thought i'd share.
