This is my story. About 3 1/2 years ago I started experiencing itchy hands. Of course, the 1st thng I thought of was allergies then I thought some sort of parasite. It was wierd because it only happened late at night and it was so intense. The only thing that brought relief was to run my hands under really hot or really cold water. It never happened during the day. And, there was never any evidence of the itching. No rash, no bumps, nothing at all. Went to the dermatologist and my famiy doctor. Because of my age (40ish) I thought it might be hormonal but alas, no logical or medical reason given for this "condition." It did taper off for a while, not happening every single late night but only a couple times a week and then sometimes not at all. Now it is starting again, more frequently, now not just at night and it's happening everytime I use my computer. The parts of my hands (and now my wrists) that rest on my laptop when I'm typing get very itchy. The laptop is warm in these areas and I feel it when the itching is going to start. Then I got to thinking...the initial itching started when I got my smart phone. When the itching started to subside I had gotten rid of my smart phone. You know how you can just tell when something is a contributing factor to something else? I honestly feel that there must be some connection. I mean, elctronics have become such an itegrated part of our lives. There has to be something to it. Think anout all the things these devices could be ding to us that we don't know about. You don't know until you know. Ya know? I wonder if there is or has been any testing or scienific evidence in this theory of mine.

It's the laptop. Had the same experience. Finally figured it out. It's my left hand, right where it gets hot.
