Hi, I was wondering if it was harmful to be taking plan b every week? I am not on any type of birth control and I have been having accidents at least once a week for the last month.

Technically, no.....however

- it isn't meant to be used in that way. There is the chance that it might not work on one of those times. No birth control is certain. Plus those pills have more hormone than regular birth control pills. I had a friend that did that and she reported having less body hair after a while. However, after a few weekly incidents, plan b didnt work.

I guess it's better than nothing but if you think this could continue, I suggest a different birth control method, like normal pills or an IUD, which is not only a lot cheaper than plan B, you also don't have to think about it, and it contains less hormones if hardly any at all (depending on which IUD you get). It's best to ask your doctor to help you determine which more birth control method to use if you feel so inclined.
