The past 5 years I've treated my ITP with steroids(prednisone), IVIG gamma-globulin plasma, Whinrho, rituxin, and now my Dr. wants a spleenectomy. There is no guarantee it will work. All treatments seem temporary. When I ask about alternative medicine like herbs, Vit. C, liquid chlorophy, tea, accupuncture, etc. my Dr. says there's no data to prove that helps in any way. Do you know of any Alternative Medicines to help with ITP? My platelet count has been at 10K for the past year. I worry about losing my spleen and the infections I could get? Please Advise...thanks.
