My boyfriend is 18 and we just had sex about a month ago. (My first time) he has a football scholarship. I am working on my softball scholarship and this isn't the right time for either of us to have a baby. We didn't use a condom and I'm over two weeks due for my last period. It comes the same time every month or no later than 3 days. I'm super scared!!!! My patents have never met him and don't know I'm sexually active. They wouldn't approve. I've known this guy for over a year and know he'll be there no matter what

Hi Guest,

Can you take a home pregnancy test?  If you can, you need to use your wake up pee for the best accuracy - really, it matters!

Sometimes your period can be off a bit.

Your boyfriend has a bigger problem.  He's guilty of rape.  As a minor, especially at 14, you are considered NOT old enough to consent to having sex.  So, even if you say "yes" it doesn't mean anything.  In most places he'd be considered guilty of statutory rape.

I can understand if you don't want to tell your parents but sooner or later they're going to find out.  It will be a lot less stressful for you to just come out and tell them that you've had sex and you are late.  Keep the details limited at first, until you know whether or not you really are pregnant.  If you are pregnant you will have to tell your boyfriend.

I'm not judging you, being harsh with you, or trying to scare you.  If you are old enough to have sex I feel you should know the responsibilities that go with it.  I'm just telling you like it is.

Good luck.

This morning I asked my sister to get me a pregnancy test and I took three. After 5 mins I checked and one I couldn't understand the other two were positive. My sis said she'll support whatever decision I make and is there if I need her for anything. That is a bit relieving but I'm still VERY scared to tell my parents and even a little bit to tell my boyfriend....and he can't go to jail unless we press charges

Hi Guest,

False positives are very unlikely. There is a good chance you are pregnant.

You're going to have to tell your parents.

I won't discuss the legality of this except to say that you are a minor. It is not up to you to press charges. The STATE you live in will (assuming the US). It's not a civil case, you against him, it is a criminal case, the STATE against him.

Big difference.

Good luck.
