hey...i was in your same situation about a month or so ago,im 18 and pretty petite also..im 5'2 and 108 ,when i asked a couple of people about their experiences they all said it was gunna hurt and that i was gunna bleed...well im not gunna lie,it did hurt ,now...i think it hurt because i was thinking about it wayyy too much..besides the pain will go away so try not to focus on that,itll ruin everything...about the bleeding,being this small and being with a guy whose kinda large down there not to brag,but is true...i thought it was gunna hurt forever n i was gunna bleed for days and i actually didnt bleed AT ALL..so id recomend you to relax i know they say that like is nothing when is actually very hard to relax when youre about to lose your virginity..but really,try...dont think about anything else,just you and the guy you love [if you dont love him,dont do anything!] and try to let go a lil bit..let him do his thing,cause he'll be nervous too. dont forget to USE PROTECTION!! and good luck :-D

Not everyone bleeds/feels pain the first time. My first time was enjoyable. I didn't bleed at all, and didn't feel pain... just a bit of pressure.

The reason it bleeds is if your hymen isnt broken yet then the penis will have to break through that before it can push all the way inside you. That is a bit painful and will probably result in a bit of blood. The amount of pain/bleeding varies from person to person. If your hymen is already broken your first time might be just fine.
