i'm really worried because i'm 9 days late today(july 5). my bf and i had sex 4 days before my period(my period started may 24), then we haven't had sex after that for a month now but my period hasn't arrived yet :'(
i had been feeling a little nauseous and light headed but i don't know if its from the stressed of worrying or its a signof pregnancy. because when i feel like i want to vomit i just distract myself surfing the net or do other things and it will just disappear.
and 5 days and 3 days ago i had a little(very little) white discharge.
any suggestions? please help
thanks

Dear Problematic_me,
You have said you had your periods on May 24th. If you had sex 4 days before that only! then you are safe.
Bleeding in periods means that the inner lining of your womb is shed and incidentally that is the place where an embryo (very early baby) gets implanted.
Your eggs are released from your ovaries around the 14th day of your cycle ( in your case around 8th-10th June). Semen can survive in female genital tract for about 5-6 days. So If you had your periods AND IT WAS AS USUAL IN TERMS OF COLOR AND AMOUNT it is safe to say theoretically that you are not pregnant.
But there is a thing called cycle irregularity. So it is better if you can do a simple over the counter urine pregnancy test. It usually becomes positive after day 6 if you are pregnant.
Hope this helped.

Do u mean in that month?
We had sex that month i think 4 times with an estimation of seven days apart ibcluding that 4days before my period.
And i think my period that month is normal. It lasted for 4 days
Thank u

What I meant was if you guys had sex only 4 days before your periods and you had your periods you would be safe. But you had sex 4 times each seven days apart that month. Then dear problematic_me there is a high chance of a pregnancy because that time you had sex near the middle of your cycle would fall right in the middle of the most fertile period of your cycle. So the best you could do is get a pregnancy test done asap.
Thanks
Sameera
