Here's my situation: I had sex with a girl 2 times, and the last time I had sex with her was 3 days before her period came. She calls me a month and a half later telling me that she went to the doctor's to have a urine pregnancy test and it came back positive. When I asked her if I was her only partner, she said no and that she's been sleeping with her new boyfriend starting 2 and a half weeks before finding out she was pregnant. When we had sex, it was unprotected and I did not ejaculate inside of her. When she had sex with her boyfriend, he supposably ejaculated inside of her. In my defense, I'm usually very well in control of my ejaculations and if I experience the slightest feeling that I'm about to cum, I pull out. I've had unprotected sex many times and I've never gotten anyone pregnant. I know that still doesn't rule out the possibility of what could happen, but what are the chances of this baby being mine? It's worrying me to death.

Hi Amethon,

She would be unlikely to conceive the last time you had sex.  The timing was very poor and she'd be at her lowest fertility.  The egg would not be viable.

Since you said that she had that last period and you haven't had sex since, it is VERY unlikely that you are the father.  It's not impossible, just not likely.  Was it a normal period for her?

A pregnancy test can detect pregnancy from about 2 weeks after having sex.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the response, medic-dan! She told me that her period is always irregular. One of my concerns with this was the pregnancy test. I was told that only a blood test can confirm positive pregnancies as early as 2 weeks and that urine tests couldn't.

You're welcome.

Yes, 2 weeks is about the earliest you could get a positive on a urine test.
