My daughter is pregnant. She has AMH 1.24 and FSH of 8 and is 24 yr. She was denied being an egg donor because of those numbers. She also has had stress from finals. Her normal cycle is 27 days pretty regular. Her start of her last period was July 3rd. She had unprotected sex with guy 1 on July 6th and July 26th. She had protected sex with a condom on July 16th with guy 2 with no known issues. She took a pregnancy test August 3rd after her period was late and it showed negative. She took another pregnancy test on August 11th and it showed positive. Who is most likely the father?

Hi Concerned,

Your daughter would normally ovulate between days 11-16 of her cycle, so July 14 to 19.  Having sex on day 3, July 6th, would likely not result in a pregnancy.  She won't ovulate for more than a week and sperm can remain viable for about 5 days at best.

July 26 is also unlikely.  It is about a week AFTER she'd ovulate. The egg is only viable for about 48 hours.

July 16 is about peak.  Was the condom used ALL the time, before ANY sexual contact?

From what I understand he used the condom the entire time. I understand the timing is better for guy #2 but they were using the condom and the other guy was unprotected both times. Could her ovulation have been either early or late for her to get pregnant with #1?

It would be very early or very late for it to be guy #1.

No form of protection is 100% effective, none.

She'll need a DNA test to determine paternity.
