I need to help my father as much as possible because it really pains me to watch him suffer due to his joints’ arthritis. He has started his medication therapy but somehow it seems that it did not produce the wanted effect, although he did began just yesterday. He also has to go for the physical treatment, what is the importance of that in RA?

If the meds do not start to help soon, his doctor has to be notified because a therapy change might be needed. I say this because usually the medications given in this situation are strong ones, effective pain relievers that should start working almost immediately. As for the physical therapy, it is important because of the keeping the joints agile and flexible as long as possible.
