I have been experiencing the same thing for about 6 months. They come in clusters - once or twice a day for a few days then can go weeks without one. I can now feel it coming on and I can stop it if I am fast enough but it is also luringly pleasant (when it first starts) so I sometimes don't want to stop it. I have the same "dream" but I can't remember it afterwards. Afterwards I feel spacy and have a headache for an hour or two. It seems to happen more often if I have not had enough sleep or have been drinking alcohol. I have been taking Vitamin B1 (can't remember where I read that it would help) and it does seem to help a lot. It happened the first time when I was driving at night and was very tired. It now mostly happens after I get out of the shower and am dressing. It seems that I have now associated this activity with them and so it encourages it by association. I just had one at my computer and I already had a headache before it happened. I am putting it down to drinking alcohol for the last couple of evenings, so not sleeping well.

What does the vitamin help with? Im looking to take vitamins to help with my memory issues caused by these episodes

I am starting my 3rd month of Keppra. I haven't had any episodes since September (started keppra in October). In November i felt small triggers but weren't necessarily triggers because no episode occurred. However today i felt a strong trigger. I did not have a full episode. Today was different because I remembered the exact memory that came to my mind that caused the trigger. It was also different because I didn't have a full deja vu feeling. I didn't have the usual "slideshow images in my head of memories/dreams". I did have slight rising stomach feeling and increased heart rate. But no grogginess/foginess afterwards and No loss of memory. The reason why im only calling today's "episode" just a trigger is because of the lack of intense deja vu which usually occurs and the fact that I remember the exact memory that came to mind when the trigger occurred (usually I cant remember anything). Last week during Christmas i was very sick and didn't take my medicine for almost a week which may have been the cause of today. My 3month follow up with my neuro is in 3 weeks.

I am having the same issues and am in Periomenopaus. I am not on any birth control though. The feeling is scary! The last one put me into a migraine headache.

I've had these issues for a couple of years. Has a lot to do with dehydration Has happened after some very large nights out as well as sleeping under too hot a blanket overnight. Making sure to drink lots of water and ensuring I don't get too hot at night fixes the problem .

I have the exact sensation you are describing. This all started happening to me after a heart valve replacement from endocarditis (cat scratch fever). Have you ever found out what it was?

I am experiencing the same same thing. I have a 3-5 second flashback or deja Vu call it what you would like. I am present and aware of my surroundings at the time then this little vision pops up so clearly. I can see, smell and experience everything while it is happening then once it is over I cannot remember a thing. I am exhausted, sick feeling and just need to lay down. Once I have one I seem to have a few in the next few hours making me incapable of continuing my day.

This exact thing has been happening to me. Terrible experiences.
Does anyone on this thread take a certain medication long term that relates to anxiety or depression such as Clonazepam (Klonopin) ? This pill is actually used by some to prevent seizures. Your body may become toxic to these type medications over the years.

My chiropractor just adjusted my C1 / C2, felt great, but after describing what has been happening to me, he said he would bet all the money that it is the Clonazepam I have been taking for 5 years. After he read about it, its uses, its side effects etc.. he thinks my body has become toxic to this pill. He said the C1/C2 does not affect the front lobe of the brain at all, so the adjustment is most likely not going to change the situation. This pill I take directly relates to brain activities.

Just a thought that may be worth looking in to.

I hope everyone finds a resolution to these terrible events. I am going to start by speaking with my doctor about the correct way to stop using my pills. BTW, had a CT a couple months ago, all clear.

Hello. Wanted to let you know that I experienced the exact same thing, minus the part where I lose consciousness. Afterwards, are you really exhausted and tired?
