Hello! My question is if interferon injections might cause fertility problems. The fact is that I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma that was fortunately diagnosed on its early stages. Anyway I was planning on having a baby when this hit me and now I’m on interferon injections and would like to now if interferon injections may cause me fertility problems. Thanks

Unfortunately the answer is positive so it might happen that interferon injections may create the fertility problems. I was also on interferon injections for a while and it caused me so irregular menstrual cycles and it has reduced my ability to have children. But my doc says that I still have chances to get pregnant it is just that I need some extra time to recover of interferon injections. The thing is that interferon is actually toxic but it does manage to slow down or even stop dividing of cancer cells, and also it is proven that interferon injections might significantly reduce the cancer cells ability to fight against immune system, and also they can make your immune system stronger. But on the other hand it may provoke some unwanted side effects such as fertility, constant fatigue, flu-like symptoms, but also it can make you feel dizzy, depressed and frustrated and it also might affect your blood pressure meaning it could make your hearth beats faster affecting your circulation. But those are just temporary side effects that are present only during interferon treatment.

You can find detailed information about interferon as well as interferon patients interviews in my free pdf

I am trying to help other people who are currently going through, or are about to start a treatment with any form of Interferon, including Intron A, Roferon A, Pegasys, Betaseron, and others.

I set out to collect other patients' personal experiences with the drug, particularly how they coped with the side effects. I started interviewing people online but they were somewhat reluctant to share. In the end I interviewed four patients, and added my own experience with Interferon treatment. I asked them some questions based on what I would have liked to know if I was looking to learn how it feels to be on Interferon.

Besides the interviews, I also added some basic info about Interferons and what diseases they are used for. I hope this is of some help to you.

You can find the book here: https://www.steadyhealth.com/interferon-side-effects

It's completely free but, "Please, spread the word!". If it helps you, it might be of great help to someone else too.
