Hi everyone,
I have a perplexing problem.
About 3 weeks ago I noticed a hard movable lump just about a 1/4" above my jawline. It was toward the back of my jaw.Went to doc who prescribed antibiotics and Naproxin. Almost all of the swelling went down within 2 - 3 days. After about a week I noticed that when I lie on my back, the same area becomes swollen. As soon as I stand up, the swelling subsides. If I lay on my stomach or sides there is no swelling at all. If I bend over for more than say 5 seconds to pick something up, my face swells in the same spot but subsides as soon a I stand up. I'm thinking this could dental related. I have 2 missing teeth and 1 that is cracked. I had a root canal when i was about 13 and really dont have much tooth pain at all. if i do drink cold water my teeth will hurt. Does anybody have any ideas as to what might be causing this. why does the swelling arise when I lay down and subside as soon as i get up? please help
