Today is my 3 day without codien I was on it for 10 years and been takin heaps of them, I was on panaden fort for almost 2 years the last few weeks ive been taking nurfin plus, feeling like c**p and I dnt know if I can take these withdrawals this is the longest I've been of them, and it's hard for other people to understand, my body can't keep still I feel like im having heaps of panic attacks
I hope this helps someone, I have been addicted to nurophen + for about 3 yrs now, it started for me after having a C section, they had me on so much morphine... And it felt great, I loved the feeling it gave me, I spent forever trying to chase that high and nurophen + used to give me just that, eventually I was just taking it to feel normal, a 30 pack a day.... If u really want to beat this addiction as hard and as scary as it is you have to tell your loved ones and ask for help, I tried many many times to it on my own and tapper off slowly to avoid withdrawals but the temptation to take them all got me everytime. If ur an addict, ur an addict and the snuggle is hard and it will never be over. I was admitted to hospital to help with me withdrawals which really helped me, they put me on a drip and gave me half a Valium every 4 hours, I was there 3 days, iam now on day 7 and can say I have nearly kicked this with very little systems of withdrawals, my temperature is all over the place, freezing but sweaty, and haven't had a a good night sleep since leaving the hospital (Valium) they did not give me any to take home as it is also highly addictive so be very careful. But apart from that my symptoms have been very very mild.... Which is such a blessing because every other time I tried CT on my own they where soooooo painful. Drink lots of water. I hope this helps someone. S.jones
Hey brother, I've been on and off codeine so many times its ridiculous...With t1's you can just reduce a pill every day or two and before you know it youll be off them!! Split your dosing to 3x day. I'm assuming you're doing a cold water extraction with the pills? If you dont know what it is google it. Itll remove the nasty tylenol and help you divide your doses. If you cant sleep/have anxiety get some Kava or any sedating antihistamine...Tie a towel around your upper thighs and take ibuprofen for restless legs/cramps etc.b-100 b6 b12 multivitamins are a must too....Youre doin it..Peace
Am on my 8th days. Physically feeling better. Just coping with the loss sleep i guess. Like as u mentioned..there still voices to ask me to take codine in order to have a good sleep but hell no. Any tips off on these sleepless nights and how long gonna last. I had only 2 hours sleep for past 3 days
I don't know how long ago this was written. In any event it has helped me immensely in my mission to get this awful drug out of my life. You just sound so much like what I am going through. Day 14 no codeine for me and I really noticed yesterday and this morning that I feel so much better physically. Mentally I have some work to do and this is no easy task. I have admitted to my doc that I have some issues and they are assisting me well. Please get some help professionally because I think addiction kinds of sticks with ya for life. If it's not one thing it will be something else. For me, I need to learn to have the tools not to give into my addictions. Good luck
I have been taking 8 to 10 30mg tabs of pure codeine for 5 years, after breaking my leg in 5 places and 3 operations, first to cut down was the endone, i used at night, then the codeine, after 2 months i'm down to 1 or 2 a day, I now take charlotte's web, every day Advanced, by the stanley brothers. It's not addictive and has no psychoactive components. If you want instant pain relief, then codeine or endone are the choice, but if you can take cbd oil 4 or 5 times a day, regularly then you wont need the codine.
I use to be a heroin addict for 8 years. Then I got myself clean for 7 years After which I had a back and knee injury which my doctor gave me 30mg codeine and 500mg of paracetamol now even though I have no pain I have been taking for over 4 years. I’ve been taking 6 tablets a day and find it very hard to stop! I’m so worried about my health.
