Hello,

I am a 50 year old female with a very long history of degenerated discs. Finally found out last Oct. that the L-5 disc was totally gone. I had surgery to add a new disc and pull my pelvic bone back into place in Dec. I am worried because I still have much of the pains in mostly my right leg all the way up and down. I have the same feeling I had before the surgery, I know they say it could take up to a year, my disc area still hurts ( I have drops, German
Medicine) The pain I have in my leg is it radiates from foot up into my Butt. Hiking is not a problem, but kakaying is a killer after a few miles and sitting too long, driving.

Could the pain be because my nerves were so compressed for so many years?? Will these nerves heal after a while? I see my surgeon in Sept. but I am curious on what you may be able to tell me.

Thank you, in advance.
