I was diagnosed with RA/Lupus a year ago. Most of my severe pain has been in my knees, and I have handled it by taking ibuprofen. I have been heard that Ketoprofen is stronger that regular ibuprofen. I need answer in order to change my medication s it does not help all the time.

The first line treatment of mild to moderate pain is Paracetamol, Aspirin and ibuprofen. Second step is Diclofenac, which combines good efficacy with relatively low incidence of side effects. Than it comes Ketoprofen. Ketoprofen has anti-inflammatory properties very similar to ibuprofen but has more side effects (risk of serious upper gastro-intestinal side effects).
