Talc pleurodesis is a treatment given usually to lung cancer patients. It is a treatment that involves putting a drug (usually talc) inbetween the pleura linings. It causes inflammation so that pleural effusion (liquid that gathers there and pushes on the lungs) cannot occur.
It is not a medical condition, although occasionaly patients can end up with a collapsed lung from the procedure.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
