Hi maplehg, yes its fine to want to explore you body and find out what masturbation feels like, rather than just going straight to your clit start off by using gentle touch to explore your breasts nipples and inner thighs as your find they can be very sensitive areas to touch, also while doing it use your imagination an make out its a got guy doing it for you. You can also try using the shower spray if you have one you can take off the wall just turn it up to high pressure and the pulse setting if it has one and hold it close so it sprays on your clit, some girls say if you put a finger each side on your lips opposite your clit push in and pull up that makes your clit more sensitive, always use a wet finger when rubbing your clit or it will get sore, you can either go up and down or around in circles what ever feels good for You. As for fingering yourself I would advise against that as your find that you actually get very little pleasure from it, your clitoris is your major pleasure spot that is small on the outside but covers a large area inside with lots of nerve endings to stimulate. Alright so it's me maple again, and I seem to be having some technical difficulties. I can't seem to insert my finger inside, because I don't think I'm properly getting turned on. What my question would be is what does getting turned on? How do I know that I have successfully been turned on? And how do I successfully get turned on so I can insert my fingers and where do I insert my finger into my vagina? I'm sorry if this grosses you out a bit. I just am really in experienced at this. Hi, Blankcanvas002 certainly knows what he is talking about, but maybe i could help a little more. Concerning the first issue, it's very likely your vagina is too tight to stretch all the way to allow your finger inside. What I would reccomend to overcome this is to find a lubricant. Something such as vaseline, or I find baby oil works well, for my purposes at least. Anyway, just coat your finger in the baby oil, maybe put some directly on your vagina, and then procede to slowly introduce your finger to your vagina. As to where you should insert your finger, ill give you a little lesson in the structure of the vagina: Starting from the top of the vagina (closest to the bellybutton) and going down. On the very outside is your labia majora, or vaginal "lips" when you spread those apart, you'll find your clitoral hood at the very top. Underneath that is the clitrois. This is what you should try to stimulate before inserting a finger. Then, you should find another set of "lips" called the labia minora. Between there, the very small hole at the top is your urethra, where you urinate out of, and be sure to not put anything in there ;)... and right under that is the vaginal opening. That is where you wnat to insert your finger. 

Okay, now to adress your problem of being turned on. When you are turned on, you feel a strong sexual desire. There aren't many physcal signs of this, but there are two things should look for. First, your nipples will most likely be erect. This means they should be hard and almost "pointing" outards. The second thing you can look for is your vagina becoming wet. It will discharge a clear, slippery fluid. You can't control this, your body will do it when you want it to or not. But only you can truly know when you feel turned on. Possible, you will want to start feeling yourself more aggresively.
