Laser post op surgery problems

My father 85 years had one laser TURP surgery on 25th April 2012, catheter removed 3days later, but urine did not pass for one day, was given diuretic to relieve him, was examined through ultrasound again. he had minor enlargement in the bladder ( don't know medical term but was sort of blocking the passage). He was operated again on 1st may 2012 through same process of LASER. He passed urine comfortably for 20 days at an interval of 3-4 hours and 150 ml on average without bleeding.
