This has been happening to my 19 year old for at least the last 7 years. Weve been told this entire time it is a headache, but found out it is not likely to be a headache at all but most likely nerve pain. We've been referred to a Tertiary Care Center, what ever that is.

It sounds like what you've had is what similar to mine. Pain in the left temple and by or right above my left cheekbone. My doctors said it due to the sephinoid sinus cavity. Can be caused by allergies, respiratory infections or other things. It's tender to the touch. I never knew headaches could localize themselves there. I use ice and hot treatments and ibuprofen. Maybe you can get sinus medicine prescribed to receive the pressure. I've never had a headache in this area that my skin hurt more then my head itself. Good luck!!!! Let me know if this helps

I've been having this pain on the side of my left temple and notice that it only hurts when I'm really stressed out and it feels like it gets inflamed and the bump seem larger then the right side. This only happens on my left side and it becomes very sensitive to press on it,it becomes like a soft like bump with pain like a vein about to bust.anyone know what's caused this type of pain?

Did you ever find out about your pressure. I also have pressure in my left temple 85% of time. Sometimes across forehead to right temple. Been going on for about 7 yrs. Been to all kinds of drs been told tension, the muscles in my neck,had bite guard, been to Amish dr I did give up but it's to the point I can't hardly stand it! Help
