I had my mirena inserted in early June 2008..previously i had a very heavy period for a week at a time..normal cycle. My dr. did a d and c at the same time she was inserted it due to pollups and stuff that needed to get cleaned out.. Since then my periods are somehwat lighter but like clockwork i have them for two weeks - it starts on a tuesday..ends two weeks later..i get a "period free" tuesday and then the following tuesday it starts again..this is my fifth round of 2 weeks since i had it inserted..is this normal??? i did this under the assumption that my period would become lighter..not longer..also right after my two week stint ends..i have a problem with my bladder..i even think about having to go dribbles start - i have to wear a mini pad at all times for at least 5 or 6 days..then it is gone until of course..the next period
