I had my Mirena inserted in mid June - partially to help with the extremely heavy periods i was having which would last a week..it is now almost Nov and while my periods seem a little lighter I now have them for two weeks - the bleeding has just been spread out over a longer period of time.. I have no period for two weeks and then again two weeks..so as it works out there is only one tuesday that i have no period..it's been almost 5 months of this..i am wondering if this is normal - it says 3 to 6 months but i would have thought something might have changed
