Over the last 4 or 5 years, I've noticed a steady decline in vaginal and clitoral sensitivity. It's gotten to the point where it's even hard to reach orgasm with a vibrator.
Intercourse is pointless. I have no more feeling there than I do on my chin. I feel my husbands penis, but there is no "good sensation" involved. I just have to lay there and get it over with.
I am considerably overweight (90 lbs.) and am wondering if my weight has anything to do with it? I am also pre-diabetic. I know that circulation is an issue for diabetics. Could it be that my blood sugar problems could have something to do with this?
It's getting extremely frustrating for both my husband and I. It just keeps getting worse and worse as time goes on. I've spoken to two Dr's about this issue, and neither one could give me any insight.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you been getting gradually overweight over this 4-5 year period? I don't see how losing this excess weight could hurt the situation. Worst case scenario: 6 months later you are a healthier human being who is not as overweight and you will feel better about yourself.
Best case scenario: you are healthier, sexier for your husband, feel better about yourself, and you regain feeling down there.

I heard somewhere that being obese kills it for some people. I don't remember where but I did a search and found this.
Being overweight hampers your sex life
Add a bad time in bed to the list of ways excess weight can impede your life satisfaction. In a survey of more than 1,000 obese and normal-weight men and women, more than half of obese people reported problems with sexual enjoyment, sex drive or sexual performance or avoided sex altogether, compared with only 5 percent of their normal-weight counterparts. It's unknown whether the problems are physical or psychological. However, losing weight makes obese women feel more confident, says Martin Binks, Ph.D., co-lead researcher and director of behavioral health at Duke Diet & Fitness Center in Durham, N.C. And that's true for women who are merely overweight too: After dropping 10 or 20 pounds, women told Binks "they feel younger sexually."
