I am absolutely shocked that some doctor would keep your husband on anxiolitic medication like Klonopin for such a long period of time - Kolonopin is an addictive substance that causes both rising tolerance for the dosage and serious withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms like panic attacks and anxiety happen even after four weeks of use, i can only imagine through what kind of hell your husband must be going through. And when you mention alcohol abuse... I would strongly suggest that you two go and see another doctor who will point you to the specialist that will not only prevent spiraling into alcohol abuse, but will also help your husband to deal with all the tough symptoms of withdrawal.
