I fell at work and hurt my back and butt. I've been going back and foward to the doctor for the last 2 months doc told my i have back spasms. The mri findings: mild/moderate ligamentum flavum hypertrophy of the lower spine. impression: mild posterior element degeneration. I just want to know what does that mean because the doc didn't look at the mri just said i had back spasm and apply heat.

That does seem to be a bit odd. From what I understand, liganmentum flavum hypertrophy can lead to stenosis in the lower back, which is basically a narrowing of your veins. I am a little curious as to why your doctor didn't look at the MRI as stenosis can be a serious issue, so you may wan to ask him to take a look at the MRI or seek a second opinion. I hope that this helps.
