I was taking a shower this morning and left my three year old daughter do do her own thing. She seemed to be playing by herself very sweetly, but when I got back from my shower she had hidden her hand in her t-shirt sleeve and refused to show it to me. Eventually I did get to see her hand, but with a huge lump on her palm. I have no idea what happened, or what I should do now. I guess that teaches me not to shower alone. Any ideas what could have happened?

I guess she got her hand caught in something, as in, she might have closed a door while her hand was still not safely out of the way. If she seems to be in a lot of pain, or the swelling doesn't go down very significantly, very quickly, you should go and see a doctor. And I don't think anyone blames you for wanting to have a shower in private ;)
