I posted in the regular forum under the Lupus topic. If this is against the rules,(ie posting the same material in another field),let me know. I am new at this, and am not a frequent PC user, only at work with my program. I just need help. Briefly, After sustaining fascial & ligament tears in thoracic area due to auto accident in Nov 21, 06, Dec 15, 06, I awoke with swollen ankles, feet, and up to my calves & pain and pain & weakness in all joints. Totally acute symptoms. GP ordered Sono for DVT the swelling was that much in lower extremities. Thankfully no DVT. She ran blood and I had a positive ANA. She ran I think some other ones and I don't know if they were negative or the ANA then was neg. I'm not sure, but referred me to Rheumatologist. It took my Spine specialist pulling strings to get in earlier, he is so busy, but still had to wait till last of Feb. He did complete work up, some x rays urine. He said it could be osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, tendenitis, bursistis, I already have degenerative arthritis in my neck and spine, but the acute swelling? Plus my other symptoms...total exhaustion, bruising, hair loss, dry terribly painful eyes, intermittent rash on nose and cheeks, freezing hands and feet. Can an ANA test bounce back and forth from neg to pos? Do you think I have Lupus or just some Inflammation of some kind?
