I have optic sarcoid and have been resistant to steriod treatment. My medical team want to start me on methetraxate as an alternative to get the swelling down. I am sceptical because of the, in my mind low sucess rate, but the guarentee of side effects. I know there is very little experience on optic sarcoid which makes this all a bit "hit-and-miss" as treatment goes.
