I have lost my sense of taste well most of it. I am on Methotrexate 10mg per week. A google search found this
www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/119457642/abstract
Very disconcerting. Appetite is low anyway and I was warned that my drug regime would reduce my appetite. Taking away taste will make feeding and avoidence of weight looss even more difficult.

Hi everyone.
I have been on Methotrexate for about a month (.4 and now .6 injections) and have noticed my sense of taste and smell decreasing. I thought it was due to sinus infection but that has cleared and I have the same loss. I love spicy, savory things and I no longer enjoy them because of the loss. Does anyone know if there is a remedy for this ?

Hello.
It is not uncommon for individuals to experience side effects with medications, and it is important to communicate any symptoms or concerns with your healthcare provider.
Regarding the canker sores, it is possible that they were caused by the Methotrexate. Canker sores can be a side effect of the medication or can be related to a weakened immune system. There are several over-the-counter treatments available to help alleviate the discomfort of canker sores, such as topical numbing agents, medicated mouthwashes, and pain relievers.
As for the loss of taste, this is also a possible side effect of Methotrexate. In most cases, this side effect resolves on its own within a few weeks after discontinuing the medication. In the meantime, it may be helpful to try eating foods with strong flavors or using spices to enhance the taste of your food.
