Okay so I have just recently started my Trinessa birth control. My doctor really didn't give me that much information. She said I can start my pill any random day and If I miss a pill to not take it and to just take my new pill the next day and thats about all the information I got from her. I was really on top of it taking my pills at 8 at night every day but I went on a trip and I stupidly forgot my pills. I should be taking pill 17 tonight but it goes back to pill 14 because I missed three days. I woke up and just started bleeding it hasn't been long enough to see if I have actually started my period or what. I just recently had my period before I started taking the pill and my periods before the pill were usually 40 days apart so I shouldn't be having one right now. I have been sexually active if that matters but I have been using condoms as well. I know I probably sound very naive as to what I'm doing and I really am so any information I could get would be greatly appreciated.   

Should I take my pills as normal tonight?  Did I start my period because of this ?
