hey i was just wondering about my girlfriends situation.
she just started taking her birth control pills to control her period cycle and she made a mistake by taking it before her period. we were both wondering what to do at this moment? should she continue taking the pills or wait until she gets her period to start the pills again? please i would really appreciate it.

Keep taking the pills, it'll throw her body off a little bit and it may make the period shorter but just once she starts the pills stick to that cycle. Her next period may be late, early or even missed though because of the pills.. they usually throw your body off once you start taking them for the first time so make sure you're using a back up method for at least 3 months!

The best thing for her is to take the pills. By stopping it she would only mess with here system. She should started taking them first day of her period. How earlier did she take the pills? IlikeRainyDays is right, be careful and try using a condom through this period. Her period will be unstable for some time.

I agree with what other people have posted at this point--you should definitely be aware that her ovulation will be very difficult to determine through this time and it'll essentially be like she's not taking birth control so do use a condom until her hormone levels stabilize and she is able to have regular periods again. In the meantime, condom use is definitely advised. Does anyone else have any insights to add to this?
