My grandmother has been diagnosed with dementia, alzheimers and parkinsons disease. i recently returned home and visited the nursing home with my father i walked in and her face lit up she knew who i was with no problems, she knew my birthday and could recall past events. When my father asked her who he was she looked at me with a confused like then back at my father and said 85 and when asked again she replyed 3. The next day when i went alone to visit her i asked her about philip (my father) she said she missed him a lot. I just want to know how come she remembers me but not her own son and they have always been really close. i just need an answers cause this hurts me more than anything.
