I have the same exact thing going on with me right now, except there's no odor and only a little bit of discharge, I can't get wet during sex, and my clit is REALLY swollen, the hole to my vagina is also swollen, I can actually feel it when I close my legs, and it's causing me to walk funny. It's itchy, it burns, and it's just bad news. I've talked to my mom, and my aunt who have had a lot of experience with things like this and they said they think it's just a yeast infection. I hope that's all that's going on, but I'm still freaked out

I sympathise with you - I've had problems with my diabetes, I had thrush for about ten weeks - but it seems different now, very swollen round the lips of the vagina, discomfort sitting, itching, and painful when I urinate - I even got my husband to take photo's, so I could see for myself what is going-on! I also feel as though the very front of my vagina, in-between the lips, is tearing. I've seen a Gyne Doctor, and they have given me some creams, and want to see me again in three months - if it has'nt cleared-up, they are going to do a biopsy.

I hope you have recovered by now.

If you take antibiotics it can cause a yeast infection. The antibiotics knock out your normal defenses in your vagina do yeast can grow out of control. Go to the grocery store & pick an OTC yeast infection medication. :)

I have also been suffering with a sore, itchy, swollen vagina. It has affected the vaginal lips inside and out and all the surrounding area including the passage leading up to the Uterus. I have no discharge or smell of any kind.It is not a yeast infection and I must stress this post is for anyone who is still suffering after ruling out any STI or other infection and has visited their doctor to be checked, but is still suffering.

I have now found out that mine is an allergy to the lubricant they use when taking a smear or doing an internal exam. I already knew I was allergic to Lanolin which is found in alot of creams but I didn't think of it, until I talked everything through with my doctor. If you think this might be your problem, retrace your steps to when the problem started. Consider change of soap, shower gel, new underwear, sanitary towels, tampons, fabric softener, laundry detergent and any creams or gels you might be using etc. Use lots of Aqueous cream on the area whenever it itches. This can be kept in the fridge to give extra relief. Salt water baths can give  temporary relief too. Your doctor can provide a mild steriod cream but this can only be used for a short time sparingly. Alot of people on websites have mentioned it is worse at night. If this applies to you, first rule out threadworms.(use a torch to examine your vagina and anus, if you see small worms, then visit your chemist for tablets and wash bedding, towels etc) Don't be alarmed, threadworms are very common, its just noone talks about it! I think mine is worse at night because after a couple of hours the cream has been absorbed and the irritation starts again so although its tiresome, just keep appllying the Aqueous cream throughout the night and pray for sleep!

I know this response is years later but I was researching why my vagina was feeling the way everyone is describing it And this comment flashed at me. I wear things everyday and have since 6th grade because I danced and we had to wear them. Got used to them and have been wearing them since and I'm a freshman in college now. I also wear very fitted jeans. Aways have. I dont like loose Pants. But I've had a yeast infection before and it came about from antibiotics I was taking. Now I'm having the same symptoms but erything is inflamed and hurts for my boyfriend to even touch me. I'm using vagisil And praying that it helps. If you guys no of anything else please post another comment. Thanks so much!!

I have the same thing, its the 3rd time in the last 4 months, it starts off itchy (mostly when i wear tight pants), then hurts, gets swollen and stings when i pee. i have a little abnormal discharge, but i cant walk properly and i dont know what to say to my boyfriend, i dont want him to think i have an STI or anything, because i definitely couldnt have one. Im also scared to go to the doctor, is it a yeast infection? or could it be something worse... HELP ME

NOT EVERYONE with these symptoms or similar ones has cancer. CALM DOWN. If it doesn't go away after several weeks just go to your doctor no matter how embarrassing it might be.. Better safe than sorry.
