It is been for years now my mum suffers from diabetes and lately her condition had worsen seriously and is combined with some hearth complications so she ended up few times in the hospital and that's where she was diagnosed also with diabetic myopathy. So what diabetic myopathy is and is it related to the wounds on her left feet that has appeared lately or it means that maybe her foot could be amputated for I know her docs were discussing this solution. Thanks!

i don't know for this myopaythy adult but to me it looks like your dad has what is called cardiac myopathy and it could be it is common sort of myopathy in adults especially when it is related to some history heart disease. Anyway those symptoms you have described are usually misinterpreted as lung problems for these respiratory difficulties but basically those symptoms are heart related and are usually the sign of cardiac myopathy. In fact cardiac myopathy means that the heart is weak and that means that your dad's heart –if cardiac myopathy turns to be his diagnose-hasn't enough strength to pump the blood in vessels so they are in lack of vital nutrients and this is what causes him fatigue and sense of tiredness and at the same time his heart is not filled with enough blood and that's why he stays out of breath. Basically your dad's needs urgent control despite the fact that that there is no special cardiac myopathy treatment but some meds would sure help him in reducing these symptoms.
