Hello. Nanoelectronic-based sensors have found its use in many clinical procedures. There are different kinds of these nano devices. There are: nanowires, nanotubes and photonics. They all have small dimensions. This is their advantage since they can be placed to many locations in the body. Brain is just one of these locations. I am not familiar with the details about its use in brain surgery. Perhaps, someone else will know this. Bye!
