I am 8 days post op and I agree with what most said if I knew the pain I was gonna be in I don’t think I would have had the surgery. Has anyone had issues with not being able to make it to the bathroom in time? All the sudden I get the urge (Bm) and before I can get up the stairs to my bathroom it’s all over. Also today I feel like there was a lot of blood in my bm has anyone else had this? I’m wondering if I popped a stitch maybe? I would never have this surgery again between the blood, the not being able to make it to the toilet , and the muscle cramps I just wanna take lots of pain pills and sleep until it’s all over but I’m a single mom of 2 kids and I Have to return to work on Monday.

That is exactly how it is for me.... right now. Im so depressed. Mi swear I am in a dark place with sadness thinkin I mare a mistake. Did anything get better ror you,? How long did it take? I blew a suture 4 days into it.

Hi Guys, I’m a 38 year old male from South Africa. Your stories helps me in dealing with the pain. Today marks my 7th day of the surgery. Day 1 and 2 was the best days of my life besides not being able to pee from 12:30 till 22:30. The sister had to insert a sterile pipe into my penis in order do me to pee. Day 3-6 was the worst days whereby I wanted to cry everytime I have to go to the bathroom. I’ve almost fainted on the 5th day due to pain, it was my first time to sweat on the freezing night. Sitz bath helped me a lot too, I’ve passed B.M’s for like 10 times a day. That was painful and the is also that burning part as if you were passing super hot chillies. If it was not for bleeding I wouldn’t have done it. The Surgeon warned me about the pain and I’ve mocked it on Day 1&2 telling myself that this was not so bad.

Is post operation wound infection a week after operation a common thing? Two of the five incisions are infected.

I’m on day 10 after hem-ectomy. I was given oxy 5mg and told to take 500mg Tylenol with 600mg Motrin every 6 hrs. Did not want to take oxy bc it’s constipating. Motrin burned my stomach and made me nauseous. Learned on day 4 that taking Dramamine every night made me feel much better. Ate shredded wheat cereal, homemade veggie and kidney bean soup, and steamed veggies with baked tilapia, triscuits w avocado. Also took 4 colace stool softener each night. Still LITERALLY cried for my mother when pooping for the first week. I also did not wipe-I prep a hot bath before BM and go straight from pot to tub. Hot sits baths help tremendously! Oh and drink TONS of water! And remember that each day will get better. This too shall pass!

I hope you did not have dr wojcik...the dr that tore my mom up...25 days later and she is back in hospital...i am trying to sue him for malpractice

I am 8days now post-opt surgery and it has been hell. I had 5 internal hermorrhiod removed, on day 1 had my anal gauged with a cotton packed couldn't urinate for 2days until day 3 before i was sent home.
Had my BM on day 2 was painful as hell blood mixed with stool did sitz bath twice daily took laxative, stool softners and lots of water day 5 was when i felt i will die i cried abd told God to help me because it felt like that was the end for me.

Day 7 i felt one of my stitches out while cleaning up after a BM i don't know how long more this will be over because qm tired already.
