hi, today i was on a trip at a lake and i dived in head head first. I know, bad idea.!! Anyway, just after i dived in i got a really bad pain in my ear and my hearing in my right ear nearly completely went. After when i got home i still had the pain and hearing loss, i was just hoping that somebody could advise me on what to do now.?? Also everytime i yawn it gets sorer,like more pressure being put on it.

hi you have a ear infection in the outter part of your ear....how do i know this .because i have it too ive had it for 6 days now constant pain,swelling,hear loss,im taking antibiotic ear drops you should do the same.

No.. Infection does not happen suddenly. You likely had barotrauma from the sudden pressure change to your middle ear. These usually resolve spontaneously with decongestants. However, you should see an MD shortly to check your ear for more serious injury
