I'm a 15-year-old uncircumsized male, and every time I've ejaculated for the last couple of years (no idea when it started, but I never got this pain initially), the tissue around my urethral orifice has become very red, very sore, and slightly swollen.

I'm a virgin, so it's nothing to do with STDs, and it happens not only when I'm masturbating, but also when I have wet dreams. If stopping masturbation would fix it, I would be more than happy to do so, but nocturnal emissions do it too, and they hurt a lot more.

The pain, redness and swelling last about 2 days, by which time I've usually had another ejaculation and it begins again. It's very pain, and makes it very hard to do a lot of physical activities.

Different methods of masturbation seem to make it swell less (seems to be stimulation of the head of the penis that does the most damage), but I haven't been able to find any way to completely eliminate it, and the less painful methods take far more time.

Using lubricant definitely makes it worse, so no help there. I wash under the foreskin quite thoroughly every time I shower, so it doesn't seem to be a question of hygiene.

The emissions pretty much just drip rather than spraying out (I've attributed this to the swollen orifice, since sometimes it does spray).

Anyone have any idea what this could be about? I've read about 10 topics here that had promising titles, but none of them seem to be about this specific problem. Wikipedia didn't have any answers, so I wonder if any of you do? %-)

I also have this issue, except around (and inside, from what I can see) the urethral orifice is always somewhat red, but it rarely hurts, except sometimes after ejaculation. This redness has been there for years, and only since I've started retracting my foreskin normally have I really noticed and worried about it.

I think it could be any of these three things: Balanitis, which would either be fungal or bacterial, or a simple irritation that...happens to have been there for years.

I had terrible hygiene for many years, up until the last few months where I've been able to retract better and also stretched out the skin to retract while erect, too. This problem likely is due to bad hygiene in some way or another, but I've been keeping decent hygiene recently and it's showing no signs of going away. I have not tried any creams or ointments, but my three options are: Hydrocortisone 1% for the irritation/inflammation, neosporin to take care of a bacterial infection (although I've read this can cause an unsafe bacterial imbalance), or Clotrimazole, to treat a fungal infection.

Has anyone else had similar issues? My foreskin is also a bit red, but shows no signs of pain or anything, except the pain when stretching the frenulum too far.
