Had my fIrst epidural two years ago, and when I'm in a position that curves my spine I feel pain deep down In the injection site.. And at night sleeping on my back bothers me. I was stuck with the needle in the same spot twice. My obgyn shrugged it off when I explained to him pain at the injection site.. It's more bothersome then painful, but I wish It would go away?!

I just started having pain as you all mentioned at the site of the epidural and it feels just like it did "bruised" after getting the epidural. I just had to pop on your post because I am malignant hyperthermia susceptible, meaning I haven't tested positive (because I haven't tested) but both my brother and cousin had an episode and tested positive

I just found this site today. Hello ladies, I am a 51 year old male, and about 15 years ago I went in for a procedure to look at my prostate with a scope, and chose to have an epidural instead of being put all the way out. Since then I always have pain and tenderness in the area just to the left of the base of my spine. The pain is always there. My wife has noticed that my skin has a yellowish tint compared to the right side. I had suspicions that my pain might be due to the epidural but my current Doctor does not think this is the case. X-ray's have been inconclusive. Previous steroid injections have given me temporary relief (3 weeks-month) but the most recent injection (on October 7th 2014) barely made a difference. Two hours of standing is about my limit before I need to sit down. Vacuuming and sweeping seem to aggravate my back the most, as well as too much bed-rest. After reading all these posts, now I am quite certain that the epidural I had is causing me this, at times agonizing pain! I am at a point where if I don't find out what's causing my pain by having an MRI or CT-Scan my quality of life will just keep getting worse! Any input would be most welcomed and appreciated.

This is also a problem for me. It has been almost 19 years and I have always had a bruise spot where I had my injection.

I gave birth to my second, and last child, 23 years ago and I still have pain in the exact site of my epidural injection. I also have chronic lower lumbar pain and chronic neck pain. I am only 56, but I feel 106!

I just started having lower back pain a few days ago. Just thought maybe I was getting old, then a thought occurred to me that it was exactly where the epidural was done - 5 years, 8 years and 16 years ago. Looked on line and cannot believe the hundreds of women reporting the same thing and Doctors doing nothing about it.

My youngest is 7 and I still have a shocking pain in the exact same spot of my epidural. If the kids sit on my back or I move quickly, it sends a shocking pain to that spot. I personally think it is nerve damage. That was my third child and I knew they messed that one up. They pulled out the first time because I felt it scraping up my back. :( Then redid it. Just not sure what to do about it. Although my husband says that I need to get it checked out, I never have.

Mine are 9 and 12 and I totally agree! I get an annoying feeling in back that is uncomfortable but not painful peridically as well and I know it is exactly where my epidural was.
