Hi hon: Have you been having unprotected sex with your boyfriend? Did your doctor do any STD tests on you or run a pregnancy test?

The pills that your doctor gave you, were they supposed to bring on your period? If so I would advise that you get totally checked out 1st OK? It could be harmful it you were pregnant. If you could answer these questions for me I can help you further!

The reason why I am asking how long is I was wondering about you being pregnant, since your doctor did an ultrasound that will strike out being pregnant and anything to do with your ovaries. So now I am worried you might have an STD. HAs your doctor talked to you about that? Pills can definitely regulate your periods, but I always want people to get to the root of the problem before taking pills. I was just talking with another woman who hadn't got her period and her doctor gave her pills to bring on her period and then she found out she was pregnant!!! So I just want to rule out everything 1st that is all. Do you know if your doctor also checked your pelvic ultrasound and to see if your ovaries had cysts?

Actually honey, they can't tell an STD from an ultrasoun. One question was this your boyfriends 1st time too? IF so then we can rule out STD! When you had unprotected sex so recently I want you to wait for a little bit and take a pregnancy test OK? Also WHEN did she do the ultrasound? I am just trying to figure out the timing and odds for you thats all. I can understand your ultrasound if you can quote some of the paragraphs. For some unknown reason I seem to understand medical terminology!!!!! o.O XD So if you are wondering about it I can help you with that too. I am just trying to understand and get to the bottom of what's going on with you that's all.

GREAT!! well not really but here is what this says. There is nothing in your uterus!!!! Great news, it is normal BUT there is something wrong with both of your ovaries you have what is called bilateral plycystic ovaries. Which means that BOTH ovaries are cystic! And that your right ovary has just ovulated. So your doctor is right by putting you on these pills. Whenever you are ready to have children, your doctor will probably put you on a progesterone medication to bring on ovulation. The good thing is that you ARE ovulating! So taking these pills can take upto 3 months for them to kick in. Don't worry ok hon! This isn't something terrible, many women have cystisic ovaries, it is very common. What they do have to watch out for is endimeterosis! So don't fret for now, it sounds like your doctor is on the ball and she will help you further. These pills should help you get regular periods. All the best hon, and I'm always on here. Good luck!

Ask away hon! Do you want to become pregnant? If so then having unprotected sex will do that. If you don't DO NOT have unprotected sex EVER! Even though your periods are not regular, the ultrasound proved that your ARE ovulating, with ovulation comes the chance of Conceiving. The egg needs a sperm and visa versa, so when you ovulate that means the ovary has released the egg.

It can take up to 3 months for your periods to come on and become regular. But that said it can happen at anytime.

So the good thing is that the ultrasound has answered that you could still get pregnant - due to ovulation, you don't have anything wrong with your uterus, the reason why your periods are wonky, and right now they don't see any endimeterosis!

Just know because you ARE ovulating you can still get pregnant OK?

Good luck!

UPTO 3 months, it usually happens the 1st treatment though. But they put that just incase. Also because you are not ready to be pregnant, then NEVER have unprotected sex OK! You can get pregnant at ANY time! So many young people - for some reason - now adays think they can not get pregnant from pre ejaculate or during their periods etc. But you can get pregnant when you are using no protection. So just keep remembering that OK?! You ARE ovulating so that definitely means that you will get pregnant with unprotected sex! You could also go the natural root too you know - the following are some herbs you can take - ask your local health food store.

Parsley, Blue Cohosh, ginger and skullcap are herbs that help one have regular and normal periods.

You can dissolve 2 asprins, 1/2 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of honey into 1/2 cup of warm water and drink every night.

These are some ideas I have found from certain websites, I want you to get advice from healthfood specialists 1st though OK?
