My 86 year old Mother was diagnosed with phlebitis in her right leg, 1 1/2 months ago. She was hospitalized for a week, but it has never gone completely away. (It was accompanied by peeling on large portions of her leg.) Now, she is told it is in her left leg, also. What type of doctor should she be seeing? At this time, my Dad is taking her to a good GP. She has had lung cancer for numerous years, dementia, macular degeneration and is not active. Any assistance you could provide, would be greatly appreciated. My parents live in Frederick, MD, if you have a particular doctor, group, hospital, etc. you care to recommend. I am quite concerned. THANK YOU!
