Hi Everyone. I always have had headaches, but never thought it would be something bigger than migraines. I moved to New York for the semester and visited a dermatologist for hair thinning, who started some shots on my scalp due to an inflammation. Right after I started feeling numbness and cramps as well as more headaches. After a month feeling like this, my health insurance in the US wouldn't cover any doctor's appointment in NYC so, for other reasons too, I went to Brazil where my family is. There I visited three doctor's: a neurologist, ear, throat and nose, neurosurgeon. The neurologist asked for all sorts of blood tests and an MRI, which came back with a pineal cyst (1cm, 0.8mm) and the blood tests were normal. The ear doctor didn't find anything and the neurologist told me to not worry about the cyst but asked me to see a neurosurgeon so I could come to the US more rested. Well... the doctor's agreed that the symptons I am having have nothing to do with the shots or the cyst, but here is what I feel: numbness around my head, neck, face, arms and legs, as if they went to sleep and is coming back. My reflects are normal as well as I can feel touches but the feeling is as I am drunk and cannot control my movements. I feel weakness in them as well as sleepy, but before I couldn't sleep at all and spent several of my nights not closing my eyes. I also had depression, weird vision and lately I feel I cannot do what I used to. I am a pianist who cannot play or practice the way I used too and feel completely lost when people tell me I am stressed out or crazy. I am sure there is a link with the feeling everybody is having with the cyst. My days are as if I am recovering from a drunk night.

I've read all the post and I'm going through the same thing. I was just diagnosed with a pineal cyst a couple weeks ago. I had an MRI two years ago and they said it came back normal. Well, a couple of weeks ago I went to the doctor b/c of a 3 day migraine and I requested another MRI. They also did blood work that was normal. The results of the MRI were back in a couple of hours saying that the cyst from the prior MRI showed the it had increased in size. Hello....I thought it was normal. I went back to the doctor today because my neck and head is continuing to kill me. The Midrine for migraines is not working, I feel tired but can't sleep, I'm dizzy, feel disoriented, and the pressure I feel in my head is driving me nuts. I don't have any vision changes yet but I do have a radiating pain at times in my left eye and left ear. All my pain is on the left side. I found out that the cyst two years ago was 6mm and now it is 10mm. My appointment for the neurosurgeon is the 10th of this month. My aunt works with him and has already been talking to him. He said that surgery was too risky and the treatment would probably be radiation. He also said he didn't think it was causing my migraines. My migraines have gotten worst over the course of two years because that is the reason I got the first MRI. Two people in my family have had brain tumors, one of which went into a coma during the birth of her daughter and later died. I can't live like this, in constant pain. Something has to be done and I don't understand why doctors just brush it off as nothing serious. If it's too serious to operate, wouldn't it be too serious to leave there. The emoticon that I used is how my head feels 90% of the time. :$

I am betting serrapeptase would help you, it gets rid of cysts apparently. Brilliant anti inflammatory used instead of nsaids in Germany for 20 plus years
Try researching it:)

I am having all the symptoms as other people. The doctors cannot find anything wrong. A recent MRI showed an 8mm pineal cyst. I was told not to worry about it. I hate living everyday feeling tired, forgetful, vision problems, headaches, hangover feelings, vertigo, etc... Does anyone know of a DR in the NJ/NY/Philadelphia area that deals with pineal cysts?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi. I just got diagnosed with a Pineal Cyst yesterday (talk about good news in the morning). My cyst is 1.8cm and I have an appointment with a Neurosurgeon at the end of the month. I have no idea how long I've had this cyst but the dizziness and headaches seem to have been with me forever. The blurry vision is new and the severe/violent vertigo is about 10 years old. I was first diagnosed with water in my ears to explain the vertigo. I was then hospitalized about 2 years ago and diagnosed with vertigo. The gave me medicine and it never worked. I decided to go to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor who said I had vertigo due to hormones (are you kidding me?) He prescribed Valium as it works with the Central Nervous System but that never seemed to work either. I was just hopitalized again to the most violent case of vertigo I had ever had. Again they told me it was just a bad case of vertigo (this was after a CT scan). I finally went to a Neurologist who also told me it was vertigo but sent me for an MRI just to be sure. Voila - I have a Pineal Cyst and not vertigo. I'm constantly dizzy, the headaches are getting worse and I'm also very very tired all of the time. It really makes me wonder how long I've had this thing. I feel for all of you because this sucks! Anyway - that's it.

My wife is 27 and she was diagnosed with a growth on her pineal gland a year and half ago and just like all these posts the doctor says it's nothing. Her symptoms are fatigue, headache, low libido, depression, and mood changes. She's not one to go to the doctor very often and it's been 4 years since her last MRI. She had/has PCOS and growth removed from her pituitary gland in '02. I'm wondering if anyone has had these same issues? I'm going to have to convince her to go to a new doctor and see what's really going on and not take "nothing" for an answer. I'm scared and I don't want to lose her. Please let me know of any Tx or Dx that coincides with these symptoms. They may be systemic of something else, I'm not sure. Thanks

Hello all, I've been suffering with a lot of symptoms which are very similar to many of yours. Basically, I woke up one day and had this really odd feeling in my head, it felt like my head was full of water/fog, I was extremely dizzy and disorientated and I felt completely exhausted. I then proceeded to develop other symptoms. After a few weeks I started getting bad pressure in my ears which became harder to dissipate until I am now at the stage where my ears feel almost constantly blocked except from the occasional crackling/popping noises. Also, blurred vision and intense pressure behind the eyes (esp. when I move them from side to side). Also I have very stiff neck and shoulders, and anxiety issues since but these could well be causes rather than sypmtoms. Anyway, many of these symptoms do seem to point towards a pineal gland cyst.
But;
could a PGC cause strong symptoms to come on (pretty much) overnight?
or am I barking up the wrong tree?
I am seeing my GP soon and will request an MRI. I actually hope it IS a PGC because I have no doubt after reading this forum that these are causing peoples' problems and are not "nothing", and it would actually be comforting to know what I am battling and that I am not going mad.
Hope you all find answers to your questions and solutions to your problems.
Stephen.

Hi everyone.
I too have been diagnosed with a Pineal cyst. My symptoms started last October with a wicked bout of vertigo. I went to the ER and they performed a CT scan which found the cyst. I have been to several doctors since then, including a nuerologist, and they all say the cyst is nothing to worry about.
I have my good days, but the bad days are occurring more frequently now. i am trying to be strong and find some way to beat this monster, but i am constantly fatigued, feel as though i am floating, light-headed, dizzy, lower leg cramps, shaky hands, migraines, nausea, vomiting, disoriented, stiffness in the back of my neck, muscle weakness in my arms-the list goes on and on. It is getting harder for me to perform simple day to day tasks. some days I have a handle on it. Other days, without warning, my symptoms bear down on me and all i can do is stay in bed. Has anyone found a nuerologist who actually gives a damn about his/her patients?

Hello.
About a year ago my girlfriend was diagnosed with a Pineal Cyst and these symptoms occured since she slammed her back two years ago. Two months following the incident, she gets vertigo and from there on more symptoms keep popping up. She had an MRI and it was revealed that there was a Pineal Cyst however every doctor she saw including neurologists say that her symptoms are the cause of migraines and that the pineal cyst was incidental. She is really upset by this and wants to find find a cure for her symptoms. We have taken her to a chiropractor and she mentioned that her C1 and C2 vertebrae were out of whack. We later took a look at her medical records and it was written by the radiologist that the pineal cyst is the cause of these symptoms however the doctors never interpret on what the radiologist discovered. If anyone has an answer please respond.

i have alot of the same symptoms and more. i have a pineal cyst it is size 1.3- 1.4. found it by doing an mri. being fatigued alot, floating, light headed, dissy, leg cramps, head aches and pressure, nausea, stiffness in the back of my neck, muscle weakness, stomach aches, bladder problems, anxiety, my heart pounding in my neck or chest, pounding in my right ear and head, tmj, eye sensitivity to light and reading and pressure behind my eyes. , ears clogged with pressure and liquid mostly clogged the liquid and the pressure come and go, sinus problems, general muscle pain in legs back side and sometimes in my private part, snapping in my head like a cracking sensation, petimal sezuires where i blank out for a few seconds . its like my mind shut off but my body is still there. acid reflex, twitches- get startled easy by sound or someone that popped up out of no where. mostly my neck but it happens with any other part of my body too, dont like people touching my head neck or hair. i get an uncomfortable feeling of pressure and/or scared that im going to go into a sezuire and it gives me anxiety that something bads going to happen, cant stand or walk for too long my legs give out and sometimes lock up. they get tight and sharp at times. i have always had a hard time concentrating but lately i just zone out i dont know if thats a sezuire or im disorientated. this all started back some time after i hit my back against a wall a year ago. my back seemed like it was the only thing bothering me at that time. then a few months later i got vertigo. i couldnt stand being in the car when it was at a sir-ten angle. like being parked up on a hill at a stop light, a street that parked up ward to go up a hill. a slanted parking spot or turn, or just doing those loop- de- loops going on the freeway. then after that i starting working at an amusement park where you operate the rides and put the kids on. i started getting muscle pain and collasping on the floor when i got home. i notice a few time i operated car ride and when i got home i had black gunk in my nose. i starting getting ringing in my ears from the noise and getting headaches and feeling faint from dissyness or standing to long. i get hot flashes from time to time. its like my symptoms will come on top of each other or one after the other. i still get all these symptoms but i try to push myself threw. i quit my job i couldnt take the pain anymore and wanted to see if i would feel any better if i took time to myself and relaxed. ive been to many doctors but they all seem to say the same thing. your fine, you got a pineal cyst but its incidental and we will just have to wait to see if it gets better to consider surgery, and that i just have migranes. been to radiologist, neurologists say they think its migranes, chiropractors, physical theraphy, physicians, etc. chiropractor said my C1 and C2 vertibrae is out of alignment but thought they could fix me but it would take years to do. the thing with how it works is you get symptoms that move all over. so you could be fix with this symptom if they tweek you in this spot but the symptoms keep moving and you dont know if they are really helping you or making you worse. i only notice that my neck felt a little better. did a few mri's and it seems like everytime my pineal cyst grew just a little bit. it started at 1.1 and now its 1.3-1.4.
im sorry you are feeling pain.some days we just have to put up more of a fight to beat this beast of a monster. some days it doesnt seem like its getting any better so i just try to be strong and push threw the pain. other days i take it easy and sleep it off. im sorry you are feeling pain. i hope the doctors can get to the bottom of this and figure out the cause and cure. i would like to no more about your symptoms and what you think about this situation with my symptoms and what you think about how the doctors are handling there patients such as you and the other patients with pineal cyst.

Wow this is all so scary... How is it that so many people have these symptoms and yet are told that this is "nothing"?
I became concerned when, during intercourse with my husband, I experienced a very sudden, debilitating pressure that seemed to originate from the base of my skull and then shoot up and around the back of my brain - very, very, very intense pressure as if my brain were in a vise being rapidly squeezed. I quite literally had to immediately stop all movement and lay still for approximately 5-10 minutes in order for it to subside.
This has occured now 5 times since New Year's and finally my doc ordered an MRI and MRA. Today I was told that there is really nothing to worry about and that I should do a follow up in a year to make sure there's no change... I read the neurologist's report and the one thing that sticks out the most is that I have a tiny cyst within the substance of my pineal gland. I had to look it up because I didn't even know what the pineal gland was!
I've been having some headaches but haven't thought anything of it but one thing that I've heard you all say that is also true for me is the utter exhaustion I have been dealing with for at least the last 6 months, but probably a bit longer. I am so tired most of the time, even after what should be considered a "good night's sleep." I have also been experiencing very elevated body temps during the night, with no idea why. I never guessed any of these symptoms might be related to each other.
The episodes of intense pressure are really what scare me the most. "Don't worry about it" just doesn't make me feel any better. This started totally out of the blue and I'm not a hypochondriac by nature so it's not all in my head (pardon the pun)...
I just don't know what to even do from here.

Hello all,
I was diagnosed with a cluster of pineal cysts back in 1998 and told "not to worry about it" and since that time I have suffered some debilitating headaches as well as nausea, and occasional vomiting with HORRIBLE vertigo and light sensitivity at times. I have, over the years, developed an 11 cm adrenal pseudocyst, which obviously had to be removed, but was benign thank GOD! and now have a cyst on my pituitary and a nodule on my thyroid. You can only imagine the countless doctors I have been to and it's RIDICULOUS how I am told to come back in a year for an MRI to check them all! SOMETHING NEEDS DONE. I was just seen this week by an Endocrinologist and he basically told me to lose weight! Not knowing I have already lost 50 pounds and it has not helped one bit! What the hell does my weight have to do with a headache that I have had since I was a mere 175 pounds at 6 feet tall! WHATEVER! I am very frustrated and tired of the headaches, nausea, vertigo, back pain, etc. etc. etc. and wish there was something to make it all stop. Sometimes my moods are affected and I can't help but think it is hormonal with this screwed up endocrine system of mine! HELP!
To top it all off, my mother died of brain cancer in 1999, which was diagnosed as an astrocytoma of the brain that extended to GUESS WHERE! THE PINEAL GLAND! It's scary enough without that in the back of my mind as well. I hope someday this is figured out before it is the end of me! Thanks for listening and any advice from all you poor other people who are dealing with the careless, heartless, and evidently uneducated members of the medical field! GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!

Do not worry, Tell your doctor to take a hike.,.
They are lying to you.
its proven fact that the pineal gland is the "seat of the soul"
the cracking sound is the silver chord I intentionally induced mine through use of corricidan
and salvia divornum.
You are not crazy you are not sick you are just awakening like everybody else
and the "doctorz" are just sedating people and locking them up.
my sister was put in the nut ward a while back she got out and she was shocked that
I had the same thing as she did, and everybody we are all awakening around 2012
email me if you need more help. or contact an actual shamen locally . Really i mean it.
