So I had a two day extremely light period, hardly anything on the second day especially. Normally my periods last for around 7-8 days and are heavy flow then move to somewhat light flow. Could this be a possible pregnancy sign? I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same thing happen. Im not really having any other symptoms except for the fact that I am tired and get a little dizzy every once in a while, oh and I am having some more frequent headaches. Also, how soon can I take a pregnancy test if I need to. I had my two day light one 6 days ago. I am on the Nuvaring, but my husband and I have had sex during the week that it is out (they say you are still protected then). I was on the ring around a year and a half ago and I had been on it for one year and never experienced this light and short of a period. I have never had this light or short of a period, with bc or not. Thanks to all who reply.

You could take a test now - or 3 weeks past the suspected conception date.
The nuvaring (if i remember correctly) has hormones in it, and works just the same as the pill and even during the week its out you are still 99% protected.
Its not uncommon to have scantly present periods out of the blue on hormonal BC- even after being on it for a long time. I personally would wait to see if you miss your next cycle since the odds are so small and woudn't worry about it but if you cant help but worry and it has been at least 3 weeks since the suspected "conception intercourse" then by all means, take a test...there is that 1% that do get pregnant while on BC so it is better safe than sorry.
