Very briefly, I had the ACDF C5-7 surgery in January, 2012. The graft never knit, damage to the C5 vertebrae was done and after losing more sensation from a post surgical nerve block, a posterior correction was scheduled. Due to my reverse lordosis, and the risk to C4 slipping over the unstable C5 vertebrae, the fusion was now from C4-C7 posteriorly - that was August, 2012. Happily, the fusion has now taken, however I am still experiencing peripheral neuropathy. Prior to the second surgery, this was predominately in my right arm/hand. Now it is my left. I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing similar symptoms more than a year post. I am going to see a pain management specialist this week, but other than heavier medications, I'm not sure what more can be done... *sigh*
