Hi:
I sympathize with you. I have perpetual hems, but only two traumatic episodes of pain with them over 25 years. That was quite enough. Your post op experience, from what I've heard, sounds very normal. However, you should consult with the surgeon. One member posted his whole experience and he said that after 3 weeks he was pain free. He had pain meds that kept him pretty comfortable in between. However, if you still have bleeding, check with your doctor. I hope that you are feeling fully recovered by now.

Hello,

Could you give a little more detail about the bloody stool, a little or a lot. Also what pain meds are you on and how often do you take them. What kind of sugury did you have and did you have internal, external or both?

Thanks,

Brian McMullin

Red stool or traces of blood on the toilet tissue? I do notice some blood spots on the TP when I wipe (19 days in).

Also, what helped me was actually limiting my BMs to 1-2/day. Take it easy on laxatives, try to concentrate on stool-softeners and high-fiber died.

Best of luck to you!
