I am interested in learning more about postoperative cochlear implant dizziness and what/when can I expect it to clear up? Why is this happening? What are the causes? It has been over five months with intermittent dizziness when I turn left (implanted side) on the pillow, when I look up while standing, or certain position I may be in that would bring it on. First there would be a sensation of tingling, buzzing and then eye movement where it could be corrected when I look straight ahead and focus on something. It usually clears up in a few seconds. This is a very annoying circumstances where it can immobilize me to the point of needing to lie down propped up on pillows. Not flat on back as it makes it worse. I keep thinking the device under the skin is causing some sort of circulation blockages that brings on the dizziness. What can anyone tell me? What can I expect that it would go away on its own or what?
